The Southern Humboldt Business and Visitors Bureau is an official destination marketing management organization inclusive of the cannabis industry for the County of Humboldt.
Founded in 2017, the SHBVB is the first of its kind in the state of California and the entire United States for a destination marketing management organization to be inclusive of the cannabis industry.
With all of our natural beauty including, the Avenue of the Giants and the Lost Coast, it is definitely not all about cannabis for us here in magical Southern Humboldt. However, cannabis is a part of our history and culture therefore we have included it in our mission and narrative to share with the rest of the world!

After our 6th Let's Talk Tourism, we uncovered that the local Southern Humboldt business community needs a local platform to offer one of education, networking, communication, and support.
In conjunction with our Keeping It Local campaign, we are expanding it to include Keeping It Local, Southern Humboldt Business Connect, SHBC.
We will roll this platform out alongside our partners at the Humboldt Workforce Coalition.
In alignment with our SHBVB mission, this newly established business/social platform for Southern Humboldt will introduce best business practices, strategies, and networking resources to build on our commitment to assist with the overall health and economic sustainability of the Southern Humboldt community.
The SHBC platform will include guest speakers, webinars, workshops, and learning on a range of topics. All inspired by what our local business community needs.
In support of our SHBVB mission, this will be inclusive of the cannabis industry. @hcga_humboldt
SHBC platform will also host a networking social event quarterly. So let's have fun with all this!
SHBC will highlight new and existing resources available within Humboldt County and beyond.
The SHBC platform will serve as the ultimate networking forum within our local small business community.
Let's face it Southern Humboldt is unique in many ways and is currently challenged with the revitalization of a thriving economic driver for the local community.
We are excited to bring this to Southern Humboldt.
Stay tuned for more information.
The Garberville Complete Streets Infrastructure Project is a reconstruction and beautification of the main street, in Garberville, Ca.
The project generally consists of new sidewalks, enhanced crosswalks, pedestrian lighting, landscaping, and parking as well as improved drainage and underground utility upgrades!
This project is integral to tourism, business development, and curb appeal with the added bonus of increasing property values in the area.
Humboldt county has completed nearly all design and engineering aspects and the project is nearly "shovel-ready". The community is waiting for funding and this petition will help get it over the finish line!
Through county and state taxes so much has already been extracted from the Southern Humboldt community with no capital improvements to show for it.
The County of Humboldt and the state of California need to find the money to fund this project. Help Southern Humboldt get the infrastructure improvements that it
deserves! Please sign this petition and share this link!

Held at the Whitethorn Construction Campus, participants enjoyed food from Caffe Dulce, listened to live music, meet educational exhibitors, shopped with local makers and vegetable vendors, strolled over to Whitethorn Winery for a tasting, and took a nature walk through the trails alongside the Sanctuary Forest.
Produced by Humboldt County Growers Alliance, Southern Humboldt Business & Visitors Bureau, and Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.
